about
Some famously great pop songs apparently have been written in ten or fifteen minutes. 'Fingertips' is that kind of pop song – a simple, no bullshit thing. It probably didn't take more than fifteen minutes to write, but – mystically – it took eleven years to record. We tried it for 'Lost Causes' and 'Chemistry and Math', but couldn't agree on the sound. So now we just finished it, more or less as we originally played it during rehearsals in 2010...
lyrics
If you kiss me now I would surely die
And I'd go to heaven with a smile
If you touch my lips with your fingertips
My heart would skip a thousand beats
When I close my eyes I see
Something words won't reveal
Cause everybody love someone
Sometimes strangers come along
do do do do
When I close my eyes it just clicks
I'm caught in a bliss
Cause everybody love someone
Some oblivious, some not
do do do do
If you kiss me now I would surely die
But I'd go to heaven with a smile
If you touch my lips with your fingertips
My heart would skip a thousand beats
🩶thank you so much martina
i love that when I played along to wyman and hunt on the glockenspiel it was natural for me2 figure out what key it was in even though I find music theory a little traumatic.
it is full of love n the stuff it leaves behind, like my favorite marimba back @ school </3 TYSM martina

Last album I listened to was Big Calm so I had to catch up a bit. I'm totally overwhelmed by the quality, lyrics, and mood of this one. It has that chilled, soothing vibe that I love about Morcheeba. Definite recommendation. Henrik
