Some pop songs stand out in the crowd, Golden Brown by The Stranglers very much so. It would probably have been a number one single in the UK in the early 1980s, if only bass player Jean-Jaques Burnel hadn't told the media that Hugh Cornwall's lyrics actually is about heroin, not just a girl.
So this is an old favourite of Flunk, with its baroque harpsichords feel. Flunk recorded this in bass player Ole Kristian Wetten's basement studio in Oslo during their annual Christmas party in 2021, late in the evening after considerable amount of festive drinks. The band are still surprised by how this recording turned out.
